At Hertford Dental Care, we understand how difficult it is to have missing teeth; people lose them for a multitude of reasons and yet finding the solution that works for you seems to be in less abundance. At Hertford Dental Care, we offer Hertfordshire dental implants that we think are the next best thing to having your natural teeth.
What are dental implants?
If you’ve been typing in Hertfordshire Dental Implants to a search engine, the chances are you know quite a bit about them already. If you haven’t then there is lots to learn! Dental implants are titanium screws that act as artificial roots for replacement teeth. They are firmly fixed to your jaw and titanium as a metal naturally fuses to the bone and means tissues can regrow. It’s a super metal! Once the screws are in place, you can have replacement teeth attached to them, whether you are having crowns, bridges or dentures for a single tooth or multiple teeth replacements. You can even have a whole set of teeth replaced by dental implants.
Why should I choose dental implants?
The great thing about implants is the security that they offer. They shouldn’t loosen as alternative solutions can do such as dentures. This means that you can eat and drink whatever you like and you won’t need to worry about it – chomp into an apple and don’t think about it. They are also easy to maintain as you can brush and floss as usual. Dental implants also look like natural teeth, so other people won’t realise that you haven’t got a full set of natural teeth.
Another benefit of dental implants is that they should last a very long time, if not for the rest of your life. You will still need to have regular checkups with them, but with replacement teeth, there are no chances of you getting cavities in them! Fitting them can be done under local anaesthetic, so there are no major operations involved. Here at Hertford Dental Care, we’re proud to have Dr Black treating patients having been awarded The Implant Diploma by the Royal College of Surgeons; he was also shortlisted in 2015 for the National Dentistry Awards because of his work with doing full mouth replacements using dental implants. And, if that’s not enough, we also happen to have over 80 years of combined experience at our practice.
