Boost your confidence with Invisalign in Hertfordshire

There’s nothing like a straight, picture-perfect smile to boost your self-esteem, and Invisalign could be what you need to feel more confident about showing off your pearly whites.

Also, because Invisalign braces are clear and practically undetectable, you won’t have to compromise your confidence to regain it later on once the treatment is complete.

You can feel confident taking pictures and chatting with friends, going out for meals with family and giving presentations at work, without worrying about people noticing bulky wires and brackets.

All you need to know about Invisalign in Hertfordshire

Over 14 million people have turned to Invisalign to help improve their smile, and, considering the benefits it offers, it’s easy to see why.

Some benefits of Invisalign include:

  • Improved comfort – because Invisalign aligners are custom-made to match the shape of your teeth, you won’t suffer any irritation from wires, like you would with traditional metal braces.
  • Shorter treatment times – traditional braces can take anywhere between 16-18 months to straighten your teeth, with some treatments lasting up to two years (or more!), whereas Invisalign treatments will take a year, at most.
  • Fewer dental visits – with metal or ceramic braces, you’ll have to make frequent trips to the dentist to make sure they’re adjusted correctly. With Invisalign, you won’t need any extra dental work to correct the position of your teeth, as the aligners will have already been planned and created. You’ll only need to visit the dentist every four to six weeks to check up on progress.

Better dental hygiene during treatment – unlike most orthodontic systems, Invisalign aligners don’t have to be worn 24/7. They only need to be worn for 22 hours a day (20 hours at the least) and can be removed to eat, drink and clean your teeth as normal.

Invisalign Hetford FAQs

The answer to this question depends on a few different things – including:

  • What you want to treat
Invisalign braces can treat everything that regular braces can – such as gaps, misalignments, overcrowding, overbites, underbites and crossbites.
  • The condition of your teeth
Whilst Invisalign can treat these orthodontic issues, how well it works will depend on the severity. If you only have mild misalignments, gaps, overcrowding and problems with your bite, then Invisalign will fix it no problem. More advanced solutions may be required to correct severe orthodontic issues.
  • How old you are
There are no age restrictions or limits on Invisalign in Hertfordshire, but the earliest we typically recommend starting Invisalign is around 7 years old, which is the age that children can start wearing braces. This orthodontic treatment is most popular among teenagers and adults in their early 20s – but we see patients that are in their 40s and 50s – even their 60s! Not sure if Invisalign is right for you?

Invisalign braces tend to be a similar cost to regular braces, due to the lab fees associated with creating your custom-fitted aligners.

However, here at Hertford Dental Care, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality orthodontic treatments, which is why offer a range of affordable payment plans.

They’re always available and more than happy to help!

One of the many benefits of opting for Invisalign over other, more traditional orthodontic treatments is the speedy treatment time.

It’s different for each patient, but for most, it takes 6-9 months for the Invisalign treatment to work its magic. For mild misalignments and gaps, Invisalign treatment could take as little as six months.

The best thing about Invisalign braces is that they’re removable!

You’ll only need to wear your aligners for around 22 hours a day for the treatment to be effective, which means you can take them out to eat and clean your teeth – a luxury you won’t get with regular metal or ceramic braces.

If you’re interested in getting Invisalign in Hertfordshire, give us a call or reach out via email to arrange a consultation with our expert orthodontists.

It’s important to keep in mind that any orthodontic treatment can cause some degree of pain, but compared to other solutions, like traditional metal or ceramic braces, Invisalign is much less painful.

Feeling some discomfort is totally normal, and it may feel like a squeezing sensation around your teeth. But this only means that your aligners are doing their job correctly to close any gaps in your teeth and align them together.

You may also experience some friction between the edges of your aligners and your gums and the insides of your lips, but this is nothing that a little numbing gel or an ice pack can’t fix.

If you’re experiencing intense discomfort or other symptoms such as bleeding gums, facial swelling or extreme teeth sensitivity following your Invisalign treatment, don’t hesitate to contact our orthodontists here at Hertford Dental Care.
