How do Perfect Clear braces work?

Invisible or clear braces are comfortable, inconspicuous aligners – perfect if you’re looking for an alternative to traditional braces to straighten your teeth in the most discreet way possible.

Using a series of bespoke K positioners, these aligners apply specific pressure to your teeth, to shift them into the desired position.

Each tray is worn for 2-3 weeks at a time and is designed to move your teeth by a fraction of a millimetre – which may not seem like much, but you’ll definitely notice a difference over time.

As well as amazing aesthetics, Perfect Clear removable aligners also offer maximum comfort and convenience.

Unlike traditional fixed braces, Perfect Clear braces only need to be worn for up to 22 hours a day, meaning you can take them out to eat and clean your teeth as normal, and that you don’t have to sacrifice your oral health in any way.

Are clear braces right for me?

Invisible aligners certainly have their advantages, but whether they’re the right orthodontic treatment for you depends on the condition of your teeth and personal preferences.

Perfect Clear aligners may not be the best option for you if you suffer from complex orthodontic problems, like a severely malformed bite or gaps from missing teeth, for example, and you may have to seek alternative treatment. 

You also won’t be able to get Perfect Clear braces if you:

• Have tooth decay or active/untreated gum disease
• Have small, eroded or misshapen teeth
• Have TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) dysfunction
• Have had dental implants, bridges or other cosmetic treatments done

During an initial consultation with our orthodontists, we’ll assess the condition of your teeth to determine if Perfect Clear is the best option for you, and discuss other treatments so that you can make an informed choice.
